FANTASY GAME RULES — EFFICIENCY CAP RISES

According to the users feedback, we are announcing this season’s game rules and the efficiency cap rise from 50 EFF to 55 EFF. More details below.

SEASON

Each Scorestars Season lasts for 3 months, which is aligned with the premium and free Season Pass duration.

On Scorestars, there are 3-month-long seasons. Each season has a premium and free season pass.

There will be 5 seasons within the real-life basketball season:

1. 17th of September 2024 to 30th of September 2024
2. 1st of October 2024 to 31st of December 2024
3. 1st of January 2025 to 31st of March 2025
4. 1st of April 2025 to 30th of June 2025
5. 1st of July 2025 to 30th of September 2025

DIVISIONS

Each week, on Monday, users will be separated between divisions, depending on their last week’s performance.

Promotion, neutral positioning, and relegation between the 5 divisions take place after every Game Week (7 days), on Mondays.

A Game Week is made up of Game Days, and a Game Day consists of individual Matches.

At the end of each Game Week, all users receive rewards in the form of Lootboxes, XP, and Hoops:

⬆️ Promoted users will receive the prize from the next higher division.
⏺️ Users who remain in the same division receive the same division’s reward.
⬇️ Relegated users receive the reward from the previous division.

Users who manage to remain in the top Diamond (1st) Division will receive an additional weekly prize of Basketballs. The exact rankings and prize amounts are to be confirmed.

At the end of each 3-month season, all users will reset and begin again from the lowest Bronze (5th / lowest) Division.

Game week starts on every Monday and finishes on Sunday, lasting 7 days.

During the final Game Week of each season, users in the top Diamond (1st / highest) Division will compete for real-life prizes such as merchandise, gift cards, etc. The announcement about the prize pool is coming together with the leagues announcement on their official channels.

BOOSTERS AND CARDS

Your cards have different tiers, but without boosters, they’ll bring the same amount of points. When combined with boosters, higher-tier cards give you the edge you need to outscore competitors. You can also upgrade your cards to higher tiers by visiting your inventory.

Boosters and cards work hand-in-hand. The better the card tier, the more the booster will affect the player’s score.

CAPTAIN

Boosters give you an advantage, and choosing a captain will double their EFF score. Use single-player or team boosters strategically to maximize your lineup’s potential. The right combination of boosters and captain selection can make all the difference in outsmarting your competition and climbing the leaderboards. Make your moves count!

By selecting a captain, the player’s performance will be multiplied by 2x.

LINEUP EFF LIMIT

Scorestars uses a player’s Efficiency (EFF) for fantasy scoring. Each player’s average EFF from their last five games determines their value and how they’ll perform. From now on, your lineup has a budget capped at 55 EFF, meaning you have to carefully choose players while staying within this limit. The EFF of a player comes by the player’s last 5 games average EFF rating. This cap prevents high-spender domination and ensures competitive balance for everyone!

Each lineup is limited with the 55 EFF cap. Select the players carefully to outperform your opponents.

FORMATIONS

Formations add a layer of strategy to your lineup decisions. Choose the formation that plays to your strengths and aligns with your cards’ tiers and boosters. Each formation opens up different pathways for success, so be strategic and experiment to find the best one. Remember, a well-planned formation can be the key to winning.

To maximize your basketball knowledge, you can use different formations to play with.

AUTOFILL

Use the autofill function to automatically fill your lineup with the best possible players while keeping within the EFF cap. You can always tweak it manually afterward, but this feature ensures you never miss setting up a lineup. It’s a time-saving tool that helps you stay in the game!

Autofill selects the players for you, according to their previous 5 game efficiency rating.

SCORING SYSTEM

Your total score of the game day will be counted according to the efficiency rating of the player in real life. Now, having a higher level card (tier) in your team doesn’t give you any competitive edge. Yet, using the higher-level card with either booster or captain, gives you more points than the common (grey) card of the same player. The total game day score of your team will be summed together according to all 5 players’ performance in your lineup. The game week score depends on your game day results. Game week consists of game days which means that the total of all game week scores will be your game week’s result.

For scoring, Scorestars reads the statistics of the real-time match. Only the EFF (efficiency rating) is counted. The better the efficiency of the player, the more points he will bring.
