Betsafe-LKL weekly Dream Team — game week 10
The Betsafe-LKL Lithuanian basketball league has always been a hotbed of talent and competition, and this game week was no exception. We introduce you to this weeks ‘Dream Team’ — a group of five players who set themselves apart with their remarkable performances. This selection is based on the efficiency of the players, a metric that takes into account various aspects of their game, including assists, rebounds, defensive actions and much more.
Center: Regimantas Miniotas — The Game Week’s MVP
Leading the Dream Team is the center Regimantas Miniotas from BC Wolves, who earned an impressive 32 efficiency points. Miniotas’ performance was nothing short of phenomenal, making him the Most Valuable Player of the week. His main dominance was his rebounding skills — a season record breaking 19 rebounds. Also scoring 15 points, Miniotas proved himself to be a valuable asset for Wolves and helping them win Šiauliai 86–77.
Guards: Leonhard Thrope and Billy Ivey
Šiauliai’s guard Leonard Thorpe accumulated 27 efficiency points and showed an impressive range of skills. He scored the most points 15, the most assists 11 and was the most efficient player in Šiauliai’s lineup. Altough Thorpe’s energy and scoring flair added a thrilling dimension to the game this week, Šiauliai lost to Wolves.
Joining Thrope in the backcourt is Billy Ivey from Juventus, who accumulated 23 efficiency points. Ivey was a leading force in Juventus’ gameplan securing them a solid victory against Jonava. His agility and skill in navigating through defenses, coupled with his sharp passing and shooting, were instrumental in creating scoring opportunities not just for himself but also for his teammates.
Forwards: Zane Waterman and Simas Jarumbauskas
Both Zane Waterman and Simas Jarumbauskas have shown a great play for the last few game weeks and they did not disappoint this week either. Zane Waterman, the forward for Nevežis earned efficiency of 28 points. His versatility on the court is a significant asset, as he can score, rebound, and assist with equal proficiency. The fact that he has been in the dream team lineup for the past weeks speaks for himself — he is a solid performer.
Simas Jarumbauskas, the forward in Pieno, earned his spot with 23 efficiency points. This young player has become of the fantasy player’s favourite as he is in a great form and helping his team in every acpect, although Pieno lost to Neptunas 83–86.
