2023 Last Dream Team in Betsafe-LKL Lithuanian basketball league
December ended with a long game week in Betsafe-LKL Lithuanian basketball league. Starting from 23 December to 30 December we saw incredible performances carried out by our stars. Juventus surprised their opponents with a great play and therefor we can find three of their players in last week’s Dream Team. Our fantasy players’ favourite Nicholas Ward made the list with an impressive 39 efficiency points and became MVP. The full list of this week’s stars is as follows:
Center: Nicholas Ward — The Game Week’s MVP
Leading the Dream Team is the Gargždai’s center Nicholas Ward, who earned an impressive 39 efficiency points. Ward took 10 rebounds and threw 30 points, being the most points scored player in this game week. Ward’s effort was not enough as Gargždai was against CBet-Jonava and their center Michel Hughaes who also made an excellent play earning 35 efficiency points. Gargždai lost the game 107–73, but two highest efficiency rankings came from that game and both of them centers — Nicholas Ward and Michel Hughaes.
Forwards: Deividas Sirvydis and Evaldas Šaulys
Two forwards were over the top — Deividas Sirvydis and Evaldas Šaulys. The Lietkabelis forward Deividas Sirvydis earned 31 efficiency points, scoring 25 points, gathering 3 rebounds, 3 assists and taking 3 steals. Lietkabelis managed to pull together a very good game and won against Wolves 73–77. Taking the second forward place will be the Juventus’ player Evaldas Šaulys with 30 efficiency points. He earned them with only 20 minutes of playing time — what could he do with full 40 minutes. Juventus surprised their opponents Nevežis with a good team effort and won their game 106–74.
Guards: Marius Valinskas and Ryan Taylor
Both guards in this week’s Dream Team are from Juventus, which showcases their excellent game and victory against Nevežis. Marius Valinskas earned 19 efficiency points, while throwing 16 points he also gathered 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals. Defending the back court with him was Ryan Taylor also from Juventus. Surprisingly he earned the same amount of efficency points as Valniskas: 19 efficiency points. Taylor also threw 19 points, got 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. This week’s Dream Team had 3 new players from Juventus, resembling the wide and solid level of teams and players in Lithuanian league.
